Deep Blue

New video of a monstrous great white shark known as Deep Blue has surfaced online.

A clip posted online by marine biologist Mauricio Hoyos Padilla in June showed the beast “high-fiving” a diver near Guadalupe Island, near Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, in 2013.

The new video uploaded by Mr Padilla shows the shark – believed to be pregnant – gracefully gliding by divers in the same waters.

Estimated at around 20 feet (more than 6 metres) in length, experts say she could be one of the biggest ever caught on film.

On his website promoting white shark conservation, Mr Padilla estimates the famed fish is at least 50 years old.
